This is a Test.

My name is Alek Sabin and I'm a graduate of East Hollywood High School in Utah, and an incoming undergrad at Hampshire College in Massachusetts. At Hampshire College, I will have an intended major in Film Directing and minors in Philosophy and Psychology.

The work that I create can be separated into three categories: Digital, Traditional, and Video. While I'm not terribly specific to one or the other, these categories usually contain works under the following:

Digital: Book/Magazine pages, Logos, & Posters
Traditional: Fine Art, Illustrations
Video: Short Fiction Films 30 seconds - 30 minutes, Trailers, & Commercials.

I have extensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, as well as Final Cut Pro. My mediums for traditional art are watercolor, pen, Prisma colored pencils, and marker. As for learning new computer programs, I adapt well and am a fast learner. I have been described as a "speedy" artist, and can usually design or create a simple finished piece within 30 minutes to an hour. For full book or magazine pages, it takes me (on average) 3 to 8 hours.

I have had one illustration published on the cover of Trends In Cell Biology, which can be found here: Trends In Cell Biology Website. Here is an article about the cover publication: Former Lab Intern's Artwork Makes Trends In Cell Biology Cover.
